AADHAAR SKILL DEVELOPMENT CENTER (ASDC)
India’s growth rate is
widening the gap between the rich and the poor. The irony is that
almost 80-90 per cent of youth jumping into the job market are
unskilled. It has now become essential to take a step towards provision
of credit, employment and food security to every Indian with a sense of
identity.
AADHAAR aims to provide impetus to grass root developmental work and
the role of employment is indispensable to the schema of growth and
economic well – being. Thus, AADHAAR has now decided to extend support
to the skill centers that will serve as hubs for vocational training
and employment. This support is aimed at promoting skill development
and engagement of commerce and industry in the progress story of the
underprivileged. These skill centers will seek to become progressively
self-sustaining entities committed to the enriching of the competencies
of that part of the workforce, which is unavailable due to reasons,
like domestic chores, financial/family pressures leading to loss of
potential earnings. This will lead to the development of a more skilled
and employable workforce in the country.
The skill centers will provide vocational training like sewing,
handicrafts making, computer operating knowledge/ technical training
and serve to bring employment opportunities closer home for the low
income communities.

Our basic motivation is to put different options for their future, in front of them and enable them to choose the better ones.
We guide them to broaden their views and make children grow up into empowered citizens who can support themselves and
their families through a lifestyle devoid of any compromises with the basic needs.

Subject:to set up stitching learning center in Patil estate with the help of machines donated
by AADHAAR.
Proposed project will help the girls and ladies in Patil estate to learn stitching so that in the near future they can become
financially independent or increase their family income. This project will definitely help Pankhudi in empowering the women
that we believe is the common goal shared by Aadhaar. Girls and tailors in the Patil estate who are already earning through
stitching can also use these machines on a temporary basis. It will help them to increase their productivity and income.
Pankhuri will try to teach stitching to maximum number of women from Patil estate.
They will also try to ensure that these machines will be used by maximum number of people in Patil estate.
If some women after learning stitching from these classes start their own tailoring shop then it will be really a
big achievement for both Pankhuri and AADHAAR.
After receiving machines from Aadhaar, Pankhuri will find suitable teacher and students from Patil estate to start the
classes as early as possible. They will also identify suitable girls and tailors in Patil estate who can use these machines
on a temporary basis to increase their productivity when machines are not in use for learning purpose.
